Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and based on the procedures specified by the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Station and the Ministry of Health, the handling of the bodies of deceased people with confirmed presence of the SARS-COV-2 virus is carried out as follows:
-
In the event of death in a hospital, the body is collected directly from the ward by our employees equipped with a complete set of personal protection.
-
The body is secured with two bags and transported to the cold store in a special capsule.
-
It is not possible to dress the deceased (clothes can be placed in the coffin).
-
It is not possible to arrange a farewell before the funeral or to open a coffin in a church or chapel.
-
The body may be incinerated if that is the will of the family.
-
According to the recommendations, in the case of a traditional burial, it should take place within
48 hours from the date of death.
-
If the family of the deceased is in hospital or in quarantine, and it is necessary to arrange the burial at
a later date, we recommend that the body be cremated, but the family always makes the final decision and we will respect their wishes.
